Houston artist, Hillevi Barr's work always
begins with drawing, delicately rendered patterns often drawn on
translucent material. However, they are finally
realized in what can be more accurately described as sculpture. The
drawings are cut, folded and used to construct objects whose quiet
simplicity belies their painstakingly elaborate construction. |
